Terms of Use

Using the site

KeenTimer is free to use for personal, educational and commercial purposes. You may link to any page. Please do not copy the site wholesale or load it in a way that degrades it for others.

No guarantee an alarm will sound

The timers and alarms run in your web browser and depend on things outside our control: the tab staying open, the device staying awake, your volume and mute settings, and your browser’s rules about sound and background pages. They are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind.

Do not rely on this site where a missed or late alert could cause harm or loss — for example medication, cooking left unattended, safety-critical timing, exams with formal timekeeping, or waking up for something important. Use a dedicated device for those.

General information only

Cooking times, steeping times, workout formats and similar notes on the site are common general guidance, not professional advice. Check food is cooked safely, and talk to a doctor before starting strenuous exercise if you have a health condition.

Your data

What you save is stored in your own browser and can be lost if you clear site data or switch devices. Use the export option on the History page if you want a backup.

Liability and changes

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site. We may change or remove tools and update these terms; the current version is always on this page. Questions: hello@keentimer.com.
