Interval Timer
Set the work and rest lengths, the number of rounds, and go. The screen changes color with each phase and beeps count down the last three seconds, so you never have to look at it mid-set.
Round 1 / 10
How to use it
- Pick a preset, or set work, rest and rounds yourself. Sets repeat the whole block, with a longer rest between them.
- Add a get-ready time so you can start the timer and get into position.
- Press Start. Orange is work, green is rest, yellow is get-ready and blue is cool-down.
- Three short beeps count down the end of each phase; a long tone marks the change.
- Use full screen and prop your phone or laptop where you can see it. The screen stays awake while the timer runs.
Presets
Tabata: 20 seconds of work and 10 of rest, eight times. EMOM: a new round every minute on the minute. 30/30 and 45/15: equal or work-heavy intervals for general conditioning. HIIT 40/20 × 8, twice, with a minute between sets.
The 7-minute workout is 12 body-weight exercises of 30 seconds with 10 seconds between them: jumping jacks, wall sit, push-ups, crunches, step-ups, squats, triceps dips, plank, high knees, lunges, push-ups with rotation and side plank. The timer shows each exercise by name.
Questions people ask
Is there a rest after the last round?
No. The timer ends when the last work interval ends, or runs your cool-down if you set one. Rest between sets is separate from rest between rounds.
Can I use it with music playing?
Yes. The beeps play alongside whatever else your device is playing. On iPhone, the ring/silent switch must be set to ring for web pages to make sound.
What happens if my screen locks?
The timer keeps the screen awake on browsers that support it. If the screen does lock, browsers pause sound from web pages; when you unlock, the timer is at the correct point in the workout.
Does it save my settings?
Yes. Your last work, rest and round settings come back the next time you open the page, and finished workouts are listed in your history.
