Meditation Timer
Set a length, choose a bell, and sit. A bell starts the session, optional bells mark intervals, and a bell brings you back at the end — so you never need to open your eyes to check the time.
Your sessions
Sessions you finish are listed here.
How to use it
- Set the length of your sitting in minutes.
- Add a settling-in time if you want a few seconds to get comfortable before the first bell.
- Optionally set an interval bell — every 5 minutes, say — to mark the halfway point or to change practice.
- Choose the bell sound and press Start. The screen stays dim and still.
- Finished sessions are added to your log below, with this week’s total.
A few practical notes
Keep the tab open and the device awake; the page asks the screen to stay on while a session runs. On a phone, check that the ring/silent switch is not muting the bell — press Test before you start.
The bells are generated by your browser, so there is nothing to download and nothing to interrupt the session. If you stop early, the session is still logged, marked as stopped early.
Questions people ask
How long should I meditate?
There is no required length. Many people start with five or ten minutes a day and extend it as the habit settles; regularity matters more than duration.
What are interval bells for?
They divide a sitting without you having to look at a clock — for example to switch from breath counting to open awareness halfway, or simply as a gentle reminder to return your attention.
Where is my session history stored?
On this device, in your browser, alongside the rest of your timer history. You can export or delete it on the History page.
